What is it?
The Council is a separate and autonomous unit of the Loyal Order of Moose. The objects and purposes of the Council of Higher Degrees are as follows:
- To become actively involved in Lodge and Chapter membership retention programs.
- To honor any members within its jurisdiction (see below) who are newly elevated to the Academy of Friendship, Star Recorder, College of Regents, Moose Legion, Fellowship or Pilgrim degrees.
- To pay proper respect to departed members.
- To promote a better understanding of the Loyal Order of Moose, Women of the Moose and Moose International, Inc.
- To render service to Mooseheart and Moosehaven by creating and maintaining a fund for the purpose of carrying on these charitable and philanthropic endeavors.
- To promote fraternal and social unity, benevolence and charity among members of the Order’s higher degrees.
