The Green Bay Packers have started their 2020-21 season, 3 and 0. There will be Packer parties each game day. They will be held outdoors in the pavilion area during the nice fall weather. You can also enjoy the games indoors in the Social Quarters. The Packers play October 5th with a Monday night game, 7:15 pm start vs. Atlanta at home. The 11th is a bye week. October 18th is a 3:25 pm start vs. Tampa and Tom Brady, in Tampa and the 25th at Houston, a noon kickoff. We have lots of room both inside and outside to enjoy the games.
The outside activities are winding down. Softball is done, Wednesday night baggo will toss as long as the weather holds out. The refreshment stand will be open those nights.
We are fortunate to have so much room and facilities, not only for sports but weekly live bands and use by our members for parties and picnics or just going for a walk around the grounds.
Two state tournaments are so far on the docket; Dartball January 9th, 2021 at Marinette and co-ed darts in Green Bay February 6th. You can enter at the Wisconsin State Moose website. State bowling will be in Monroe March 13 through April 18, 2021. Registration sheets are available at the lodge. State pool has been postponed till 2021.
All activities at Mooseheart and Moosehaven have been cancelled. There will be no tree lighting at Mooseheart or senior dinner. We will be sponsoring several graduates. Nothing has been posted for the 2020 holiday lights display. Results for the Monday and Wednesday golf will be in the November issue.
November will be the start of Monday and Wednesday morning golf leagues. Andy Burger chairs both days.
Notes: Use of our outside facilities increased by tenfold this past summer. Thanks to AD Rich Smart, Gov. Mark Schneider, and the rest of the board members for their support and help. Thanks to Debbie Allen for the bands, Kim Schneider for all her help, groundskeeper Andy Burger, the bartenders, members, and all who volunteer to make our Lodge the best in the state. Leon -1+1=1
