As I was walking around the lodge just now, shutting down all the unnecessary machines, lights and turning down the furnaces. I thought I hope this is not a long term situation. Usually, this is a busy time around here and now it’s like a ghost town. No one around but me. How did this happen?
We take everyday life for granted, the rat race is the focal point of our lives. Now it’s just time for us to reflect on what was and how can we move forward.
We will come back stronger than before. It’s not all about us anymore, it’s about our neighbors, friends and our families. We pray all of us will come out of this unscathed. Time will tell.
The boards of officers here are looking forward to the day when we all can take a big sigh of relief and start planning for the future again.
Our families include our children at Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven. We still need to provide for them and comfort their worries. That’s our job, what we all signed up for in the beginning. Well, maybe it was for cheap drinks and food. But over time we all realized there was more to it than just that. I look forward to the day when I can see all my fellow moose members again here at the lodge. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.
Everyone, be safe and take care of yourself and your families. Hope to see you all very soon.
