Administrator’s Corner -January 2019

It’s a new year!!! Where did 2018 go?!?!?

This year starts out slow, we will be closed on the 1st so everyone can
get back on their feet so to speak. Enjoy the day.

January 11 is kid’s movie night with the movie “The Incredibles 2” showing.

January 12 is Rockin Russ Trivia night. This is always a great fun night.

January 19 is the second karaoke night. Here’s your chance to show off your stuff and quite possible to get to go to the International event this summer. Get your singing shoes on and have some fun.

January 26 is our first Euchre Tournament. All are invited to play. We will teach anyone who wants to learn and have fun playing cards. We will be having food for the event, Brian Vergenz will be firing up the grill for some great eats. Plus we will be having raffles and a very special something as well. See you there.
February will be a huge month. Super Bowl party on the 3rd. It’s the last
game of the year and Joe has the usual raffles, food and crazy stuff for
us to enjoy.

February 9th is the Sweethearts dinner dance. Tickets are on sale now. Get your sweetheart and come down and have fun.

It’s back!!! The Moose Zoo Review!! February 16 will be the date for fun
and laughter. This is always a big hit. Don’t forget this is an adult
entertainment show. Don’t bring the kids.

Last month I had the privilege to go to Mooseheart for the tree lighting and our visit to our kid’s at Wisconsin house. It was great to visit with all of them. They are fantastic kids.

When we went to the House of God that evening for the tree lighting,
Scott Hart gave one of the best speeches I’ve heard in a long time. He
pointed out that we are the only fraternal organization that takes care of
our members and people in need from birth to our final reward. Think
about that, the only one.

You should all be proud to be a Moose for all the good your dues and
donations to Moose International does for our kids and seniors. Plus all
the good we do in our communities as well.

That visit was very eye-opening for me and has given me a better out
look about the Moose and our members.

Please remember that we are all in this together and we have one
common goal. The kids and seniors at Mooseheart and Moosehaven.
Bless you, all and Thanks for being a Moose.

Fraternally Yours, Rich Smart, Administrator
