News From Your Senior Regent – December 2019


Merry Christmas! Yay, we’ve made it to December! What a year it’s been. Following our December 3rd meeting we will be making ornaments and things for the nursing home at the direction of the Community Service Committee.

December 7th we will be traveling to Mooseheart for the annual tree lighting. Do not miss this trip, make sure you make your reservations for your spot on the bus today! It’s a wonderful day.

The kid’s Christmas Party is December 14th, get your children’s ages in today, gifts cannot be guaranteed after December 1. This is one of my favorite childhood Moose Memories.

Following our December 17th meeting we will be having our annual Christmas Pizza Party. Please bring a $10 gift.

In the Christmas Spirit, we will have a donation box for Ghosts of Christmas Presents set up in the entryway, please be generous, this helps out local families. If you know of a family in need this Christmas, please let us know.

December 22nd at 2:30 pm we will be celebrating our Green Cap recipient Joanne Horner. There will be a ceremony and dinner for the ceremony attendees to follow. Please watch for the sign up sheet on the front door.

I’m so looking forward to our Member Appreciation Day December 24th. If you haven’t been to it before, this day is so much fun. There will be snacks, drink specials and drawings. The Tom and Jerry’s are not to be missed. Speaking of appreciation, we appreciate all of our volunteers all year long. Thank you for all that you do.

Can’t wait to ring in the New Year with you all at our Annual New Year’s Eve Party, get your tickets from the bar stewards! Eat, drink and be merry… $25 includes dinner, dancing, favors and a sparkling wine toast with treats at midnight! Let’s start the New Year off right!
