Happy February!
Thank goodness we are more than halfway through winter and hopefully warmer weather will be coming soon. I am looking forward to seeing you at our meeting on the 1st where we will be reading the slate of officers who will be running for this next year. There are more fun events coming up at the lodge including the prohibition party on the 12th followed by the Super Bowl party on the 13th. We are collecting new and slightly used purses and bling for our Purse Auction in April. Bring all donations to the lodge.
Recently I have heard a few comments of negativity when a coworker has a new suggestion or is wishing to volunteer. God bless our volunteers as we could not function without you and please know that I for one appreciate you and welcome new suggestions and your time and effort. We should always use the golden rule and treat people as you would want to be treated and as said in the classic Disney Bambi movie “If you can’t say something nice don’t say nothing at all”!
Congratulations to Debbie Keslov on being chosen as our coworker of the month. Debbie and I have been there done that together before and I personally know what a hard and dedicated worker she is. Thank you for all you do Debbie and enjoy that parking spot!
Thank you to Jessica Scroggin for the “Pigs on Parade” fundraiser that brought in $1,157.68 with our piggy banks and spare change. Brilliant idea!
Just a reminder also that if you are currently only a member of the lodge and not the WOTM please consider joining us. One of the reasons I ran for Sr. Regent in the past was because if nothing else I thought it would look good on a resume. These days there is so much more to it and what a great place to safely have fun at one of the best-kept secrets in town.
Sincerely Yours, Rose Mifflin – Sr. Regent
