Greetings Everyone and Happy 4th of July!
What a great time to be a Moose and I am excited to be your Senior Regent once again! The third time is a charm as the saying goes and with things finally getting back to normal, I think we all appreciate our freedom more than ever. I will be in Cincinnati, Ohio for the international Moose convention over the holiday where I will be celebrating two of our very own receiving their College of Regents degrees. Congratulations Joanne Horner and Chris Schneider, your hard work and dedication have paid off and I am so very proud of both of you.
Yes, we have joined as one with the men but some of our old traditions will stay similar with a few of our ladies holding a “chair”. I would like to introduce Donna Thew – Membership, Jessica Scroggin – Fraternal Activities, Elsa Weller – Mooseheart/Moosehaven, and Michelle Winkley – Higher Degrees. I know there has been some confusion with the transition and I encourage you to be patient and have an open mind always remembering our purpose to care for our children at Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven. The women’s meeting will be held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Bingo will be starting soon (July 7th) and we could use your help with a variety of things from helping prepare food in the kitchen to walking the floor to call numbers.
