Here comes my most favorite season of the year, it’s fall! Football games, Halloween Parties, and apple cider, not to mention those Jerry Smith’s Cookies…. What an amazing September we had, we are now a joint board at the state and district level by a unanimous vote! There are already state chairwomen sworn in! Our new District President, Joe Matteucci, wasted no time with our first district meeting a mere one day after the official vote and appointed Joanne Horner to the position of Youth Awareness Chair and yours truly to Sargent at Arms. I was proud to be the first woman to make a motion for the newly named District 2.
Congratulations to our Junior Graduate Regent Joanne Horner on receiving her Green Cap at conference!
Thank you. We were the Top Chapter in WI for donations to Moose Charities and that’s all because of you, over $17,000 in donations!
Unfortunately, we’re not in the running for Chapter of the Year, as we did not receive the Award of Achievement for the 2017-18 Year, however, if we can make our year this year, we’re back in the running! You know what that means, our focus is Membership for the rest of the Moose year, as it always should be! Members equal sustainability at the Lodge Level and all the way to the top. How about signing up that guest that always has fun when she comes along? Do you talk about the fun you have at the moose?
Speaking of fun, we have a lot of fun activities coming up this month, Packer Parties for every game, the Halloween Parties on October 26, and the Quarter Auction on October 29.
How can you help? Do you have some cool new items around that might work well for a Quarter Auction item? Maybe you’d like to help us reduce Halloween Party costs by donating an unopened bag of Halloween Candy? Please drop them off at the Lodge. We thank you!
Congratulations to our October Co-Worker Volunteer of the month Tina Standridge!
Ready for a scary good time
