News From Your Senior Regent – September 2019

It seems like just yesterday I was sitting outside on the first warm days of spring writing to you and now fall is upon us! I can’t believe how fast this summer went, but it has been too long since we last had a Packer Party. As I sit here thinking about the upcoming season with nervous anticipation, especially for that first game Packers versus Bears on Thursday, September 5th, I mean why not just start the year with the Super Bowl, I think of all the fun things we have coming up this fall.

September 12th through 15th a number of us will be attending the Wisconsin State Moose Conference in Fond du Lac. This is always a great time to soak up knowledge and reboot for the fall and winter ahead. Our own Joanne Horner will be receiving her Green Cap as we now can officially announce that Chapter 155 Received the Award of Achievement for the 2018-2019 Year! Congratulations to Joanne and all of the co-workers that worked so hard over the last year to reach this goal! I would especially like to thank all the co-workers that introduced new members over the last year and continue to do so. Membership is the key to keeping our organization strong. Also at this conference, the Wisconsin Moose Association will be voting upon the bi-laws which will officially bring together the WOTM and LOOM at the State and District level in Wisconsin. What an exciting time to be a Moose!

The Bingo Committee is collecting school supplies for local schools through the middle of September, please bring them to Bingo or anytime you drop by the lodge home, all donations are appreciated.

Orientation and Open House will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:30 pm and every 4th Tuesday of the Month, make sure to attend with your new and prospective members.

Come cheer on a couple of our co-workers as Hereafter makes their Friday night Moose debut on August 30th!

Still to come in October: We’ve already had a couple of meetings to plan the Children’s Halloween Party on October 26th followed quickly by our Quarter Auction on October 29th. We will need volunteers for both events and donations of new items for the raffles at the children’s party and Quarter Auction items.

Congratulations to Sue Vergenz, our September Co-worker Volunteer of the Month!

Forever a Moose,

Kellee K. Chwala
