Sports Committee – February 2020

The Green Bay Packers finished just shy of the Super Bowl. The fun starts again in August. The Brewers, Cubs, and White Sox all start spring training in February. The Milwaukee Bucks are having a record-breaking season. Catch the Bucks on one of our large screen TV’s. Big thanks to Joe Matteucci and his crew for the fine job on the Packer parties and the Super Bowl shindig. And of course our members and sports fans. Andy Burger chairs the Monday and Wednesday morning pool leagues. The first break is at 9:30 am. Lunch is served from 11:30 am till 1 pm. The Social Quarters is open at 9:30 am on those days.

Mike Miller chairs the Monday evening pool league. The play has just begun for the Winter / Spring session. The break time is at 6 pm. The Spruce Moose is open with pub food.

The state pool is scheduled for Muskego on March 21st. State bowling rolls in Green Bay at Ashwabagon Lanes on March 28 through April 19th. State golf tees it up in Marinette on July 18th. No dates so far for State Baggo and horseshoes.

Our own golf outing dates have not yet been set. Entry blanks for all events will be on our front bulletin boards or on-line when available. Our lodge would like to start another night of horseshoes and form an evening golf league. If any member is interested in organizing golf or horseshoes or anything else, just call me at 262-551-0441.

Notes: The children at Mooseheart are in the middle of their varsity sports seasons. The boys are wrestling and playing basketball. The girls are playing basketball.
