First of all, thanks to all for the honor of putting my name on our ball diamond. Thank you!
Softball finished off with a successful tournament. We had three teams we sponsored in our weekly leagues. Two on Monday night; Moose 1 team managed by Lionel Llannas, they finished first, and Moose 2 managed by Gary Peterson. Moose #286 managed by Vic Plasited and Pat Puhr, played on Wednesday night.
Monday and Wednesday AM golfers finished up. Tim Brown and Dan Mohr are the 2020 overall champions. Jerry Bertsch and Doug Johnson chaired the leagues. Bertsch and Jerry Simonsen won the long putt honors.
Monday and Wednesday AM pool leagues will start November 2nd and 4th. The play starts at 9:30 am. Spots are open. Andy Burger chairs both days. Lunch is served both days from 11 am till 1 pm. Our lodge is looking for a new chairman for Monday night in-house pool. Mike Miller is stepping down for this year after doing a fine job.
The Wednesday night BAGGO players are moving indoors for pool. Activities chairman James Mosley runs things. Members gather every Wednesday evening for a little friendly pool around 6 pm. All are invited to play. State dartball is scheduled for January 9th, 2021 at Marinette Lodge #2327 and bowling in Monroe, March 13th through April 18th. Green Bay Packers have 5 games in November including the first match up with da Bears, Sunday night November 29th. Our lodge has Packer Parties for every game. See Joe Matteucci to volunteer your time.
The Mooseheart children are back in school under virus protocols. The Holiday Lights return from November 29th through December 31st. This is a driving tour of thousands of light displays set on the Mooseheart campus. $10.00 per carload. Holiday Lights is an annual tradition at Mooseheart that is held to support the Child City.
Notes: This year our Lodge will be ringing the bells for the Salvation Army. Our date is Saturday, December 5th, 2020 from 9 am till 5 pm at the Northside Piggly Wiggly at 30th Avenue and 14th Place, indoors. Call me at 262-551-0441 to volunteer for one, two, or more hours.
