Greetings Everyone!
The summer is coming to a close and Pigs are on Parade! Pigs on Parade, what are you talking about Sr. Regent? Thanks to the brainchild of Jessica Scroggin, our Activities Chair the women are filling their piggy banks with any loose change from now until January as a fundraiser for our general fund which as you can imagine is down due to covid. So here is the deal – pigs are plain and porcelain and you are encouraged to decorate your pig for a chance to win porky prizes in the process. Send a picture of your pig to Jessica at 224-337-2055 and bring it to the meeting every month. LET’S RAISE SOME “PIG” MONEY!!! If you do not already have a pig you can get one from her on Friday, July 30th from 5:30 to 7 in the social quarters…yours truly will be there as well!
Just a reminder that bingo is up and going strong and we are still in need of volunteers. Because of the One Moose thing where our women and men are finally created equal we only have one meeting a month and it is on the first Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. We usually have an activity and a snack after the meeting is done where we can share ideas (and talk about the men haha).
In closing, I would like to congratulate Joanne Horner for being chosen as our Co-worker of the month for all the hard work and enthusiasm she puts into our Moose home! (I am especially proud because I am her sponsor). That what you send into the lives of others comes back into your own and that is what we are all about!
